Psychiatry Professor

We are seeking a highly qualified Assistant or Associate Professor of Psychiatry to join our team at SIU Medicine. As a key member of our department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, teaching, and research.
Key Responsibilities- Teaching: Provide clinical and didactic training to medical students, residents, and fellows in psychiatry, including participation in formal rounds, conferences, and seminars.
- Service (Patient Care): Provide outpatient services at SIU Federally Qualified Health Centers, maintain a professional outpatient practice, and participate in call schedules and routine faculty coverage duties.
- Research: Establish lines of research, publish peer-reviewed articles, and develop a line of publishable scholarly activity.
- MD or DO degree
- 4 years of approved residency training in Psychiatry
- Board Eligible/Board Certified in Psychiatry
- Licensed or Eligible to be Licensed to Practice in the State of Illinois
- Experience in ECT and willingness to be trained in TMS
- Experience providing services to multicultural populations
