Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct routine operational tasks across storage, networking, and computing systems to ensure system integrity and availability
  • Engage in performance optimization, hardware upgrades, and resource management
  • Implement monitoring solutions for virtual environments and respond promptly to alerts to mitigate client impact
  • Install, configure, and manage components of the VMware virtualization ecosystem
  • Ensure compliance of virtualization systems with established security protocols
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures for the VMware desktop virtualization environment
  • Formulate and execute testing strategies, documenting outcomes
  • Diagnose and resolve issues within the virtualization environment, including various operating systems
  • Establish and maintain virtual infrastructure, migrating applications from legacy systems to modern platforms
  • Compile and execute object code for specified software on designated systems
  • Configure Virtual Machine servers and create virtual desktops
  • Optimize virtual machine components to enhance performance
  • Support and maintain a Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI)
  • Oversee activities related to baseline management, client management, and scalable deployment

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • A minimum of 10 years of related experience
  • DoD 8570 Level II/III certification
  • Active security clearance is required
