Job Summary

i3 is seeking a highly skilled Lead Software Architect to join our Software and Digital Engineering Department. This position will provide software development expertise to enhance technical development across the department.

The successful candidate will spearhead the development of an interoperable medical system using emerging technologies and hybrid cloud solutions. They will work closely with a highly motivated team of software developers to solve technical challenges and facilitate medical advancements in patient care for the entire U.S. Army Medical community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance on architecture, design, and best practices.
  • Mentor team members, helping them grow their skills and advance their careers.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into actionable tasks.
  • Lead discussions on system architecture and design, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and performance of the application.
  • Participate in coding, particularly on complex features or when the team needs additional support.
  • Conduct code reviews to maintain quality and ensure adherence to best practices.
  • Encourage a culture of continuous improvement and stay up to date with the latest trends, tools, and technologies.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Android/Kotlin development experience required.
  • Experience using Agile Methodologies required.
  • Experience developing ATAK applications and plug-ins preferred.
  • Experience with Azure Cloud preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present complex concepts clearly and persuasively across audiences at various levels of understanding.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
