The Senior Drafter plays a critical role in the successful execution of residential construction projects by producing high-quality technical drawings and documentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drafting and Design:
    • Produce detailed architectural drawings, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and construction details for residential projects.
    • Interpret and translate architectural designs and concepts into technical drawings.
  • Project Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and ensure the accuracy of drawings.
    • Participate in project meetings to discuss design concepts, changes, and updates.
  • Code Compliance:
    • Ensure all drawings comply with local, state, and federal building codes, zoning laws, and regulations.
    • Stay updated on building codes and standards to ensure compliance in all drafting work.
  • Quality Control:
    • Review and revise drawings to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to project specifications.
    • Conduct quality checks and resolve any discrepancies or issues in the drawings.
  • Technical Documentation:

    • Demonstrated experience producing detailed and accurate residential architectural drawings.
  • Certifications:
    • Relevant certifications, such as those from the American Design Drafting Association (ADDA), can be beneficial.
