Position Summary

The Equipment Maintenance Specialist is responsible for ensuring that all operations are conducted safely and efficiently. This role involves adhering to OSHA regulations and food safety protocols while providing technical expertise to install and maintain the electrical and mechanical systems within the facility. The specialist will conduct preventive maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and troubleshoot issues to minimize operational downtime.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute repairs on both automated and manual equipment and systems, including electrical, mechanical, and plumbing tasks.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance on all equipment to ensure reliability and efficiency.
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical or mechanical malfunctions in equipment or systems.
  • Utilize diagnostic tools such as multimeters and amp clamps to test and troubleshoot electrical circuits.
  • Disassemble, repair, or replace defective components as necessary.
  • Collaborate with the Operations Team to foster a culture of Continuous Improvement.
  • Participate in initiatives aimed at enhancing equipment performance and safety.
  • Maintain compliance with safety standards and company policies.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • 2-4 years of trade school education or equivalent military/work experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in equipment maintenance preferred.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in varying temperatures.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate degree in a technical or industrial discipline.
  • Experience in the food or agriculture sector.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
  • Familiarity with industrial electrical systems and relevant codes.
