Job Summary

The Vascular Imaging Specialist will perform high-quality ultrasound examinations in accordance with established protocols, ensuring optimal image quality and diagnostic accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct basic and advanced ultrasound scans, adhering to established protocols and guidelines.
  • Review and analyze patient files, doctor's interpretations, and monitor patients to ensure accurate diagnoses.
  • Assist in the performance of interventional procedures, applying knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and imaging techniques.
  • Capture and transfer images to PACS systems and physician workstations, ensuring seamless communication.
  • Evaluate images to ensure diagnostic quality before releasing patients.
  • Prepare exam rooms for procedures, maintaining inventory and stock levels.
  • Participate in quality control, quality assurance, and improvement activities, promoting excellence in patient care.
  • Inform personnel of equipment failures, document issues, and report downtime.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to infection control and departmental protocols.
  • Operate and maintain testing equipment, ensuring optimal performance.
  • Provide patient education on specific ultrasound studies, promoting informed decision-making.
  • Ensure patient and family safety, communicating effectively and compassionately.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned, supporting the team's goals and objectives.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year experience performing ultrasounds (preferred).
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification from ARDMS or CCI.
  • Intermediate proficiency in MS Office Suite.
  • Strong communication and patient education skills.
  • Infection Control certification.

Education: Graduate of a two-year ultrasound program with clinical and didactic education.

Language: Proficiency in English (spoken, read, and written).
