Recreation Leader-Seniors at the Department of Corrections

The Department of Corrections is dedicated to ensuring public safety while making a positive difference in the lives of individuals in our care. Role Responsibilities:

As a Recreation Leader-Seniors, you will be tasked with managing gym, music, and arts and crafts activities for inmates. Your responsibilities will encompass supervising inmates, procuring supplies, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring the upkeep of equipment.

Compensation Details:

The starting salary is $32.68 per hour, complemented by excellent benefits. State compensation regulations, Wisconsin Administrative Code, and relevant statutes will apply. A twelve-month probationary period is required.

Application Information:

Applicants must possess legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship from the Department of Corrections. Pre-employment drug screenings and criminal background checks will be conducted.

Qualifications:

Candidates should have a solid understanding of recreation, planning skills for leisure activities, proficiency in both team and individual sports, and the ability to communicate effectively with inmates.
