About the Role

The Y of Central Maryland is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Services Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in creating and implementing a Head Start recruitment plan to ensure 100% enrollment and establishing a waiting list.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive recruitment plan to meet program enrollment goals
  • Establish and maintain a waiting list for program participants
  • Build and maintain relationships with community partners, families, and parents/guardians to ensure support services are available to meet family goals
  • Work with families to identify strengths, necessary services, and opportunities for skill enhancement and knowledge development
  • Coordinate community partnerships and service delivery to support family well-being
  • Prepare and submit reports to ensure program effectiveness and efficiency
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience working with adults in the Human Services or Social Work field
  • Prior Head Start experience is preferred
  • An associate's degree in social science, human services, or a related field, or a bachelor's degree in family studies, social work, human services, or a related field is preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
