Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Activities Coordinator to join our team at PruittHealth. As an Activities Coordinator, you will play a vital role in planning, implementing, and evaluating recreational, social, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual programs for our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct assessments and gather information to develop individualized recreation programs that accommodate the functional levels, needs, and interests of each resident.
  • Update resident recreation programs as needed to accommodate individual needs and preferences and to protect and promote residents' rights.
  • Work cooperatively with the interdisciplinary team to develop, implement, and evaluate the plan of care.
  • Schedule recreational activities to accommodate residents' hours, appeal to all age groups, and take place in a variety of locations.
  • Provide activities to residents confined to their rooms that reflect life-long interests.
  • Develop and implement effective procedures to ensure that all residents are informed about activities and encouraged to participate.
  • Record progress notes in the clinical record and audit chart entries for completeness and accuracy.
  • Perform quality assessment and assurance functions, including daily regulatory compliance rounds and observation of activities in progress.
Requirements
  • Requires a minimum of two (2) years of college education with courses in recreation, education, social work, or other behavioral sciences.
  • Two (2) years of experience in a social or recreational program within the past five years, with one year of full-time employment in a patient/resident activities program in a healthcare setting.
