Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Reinsurance Account Manager to join our team at Alliant Insurance Services. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and overall service of assigned customers and/or policies, soliciting new business on existing accounts, and supporting Producer-led new business efforts.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Support Producers in developing new business opportunities for existing clients and prospects.
  2. Analyze certificate, endorsement, and audit requests, ensuring accuracy of dates, coverage, signatures, commission, premium, attachments, etc.
  3. Facilitate the flow of information from agents and underwriters to internal teams and/or clients.
  4. Initiate cancellation and non-renewal notices timely according to statutory and contractual requirements.
  5. Respond promptly to all requests from internal teams, (re)insurers, or clients regarding account servicing issues.
  6. Interact regularly with brokers, clients, and underwriters regarding certificates, responding to queries and concerns with a prompt resolution.
  7. Provide and/or assist with quotations and binders for new business, renewals, and endorsements.
  8. Proactively initiate and coordinate renewal activity on assigned accounts.
  9. Review client accounting history, respond to accounting inquiries, correct discrepancies, and contact clients on receivable collections.
  10. Provide technical guidance to staff assisting with client needs or procedural issues.
  11. Notify brokers of pertinent information related to client retention.
  12. Comply with agency management system data standards and data integrity, entering and maintaining complete and accurate information.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • An Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least six (6) years of related work experience.
  • A valid insurance license.
  • The ability to meet Continuing Education requirements for license renewal.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work within a team and foster teamwork.
  • Excellent customer service skills, including telephone and listening skills.
  • Good leadership, problem-solving, and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
