Job Summary

SencorpWhite is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Controls Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing electrical controls systems for our industrial automation solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Development
    • Develop knowledge of customer application requirements and propose equipment controls design to satisfy those requirements.
    • Design automation controls systems including power distribution, SCCR requirements, digital and analog I/O requirements, and motion control systems including their qualification and document the selections with the necessary tests, calculations
  • Programming and Implementation
    • Program PLCs, HMIs, and Motion systems
    • Complete design, test, implementation and its documentation (schematic) of industrial automation systems.
  • Collaboration and Communication
    • Interface with Manufacturing to ensure equipment conforms to mechanical engineering design and customer specification.
    • Maintain complete and accurate records of all relevant information, by project.
    • Adhere to all safety and standard operating procedures.
  • Qualification and Training
    • Assist with the operation of manual documentation as it relates to the controls.
    • Perform Safety Risk Assessment and design control system in accordance with results.
  • Business Acumen
    • At all times focus on enhancing speed to market and costs.
Requirements
  • 5+ years' experience in implementing, optimizing and validating controls systems including PLC's and data acquisition systems.
  • Machine safety system design
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
  • AutoCAD or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated experience of Ladder Logic
  • PLC Programming experience
  • Servo Drive experience
  • HMI Development
