Pharmacy Department Manager

At The GIANT Company, we're committed to making our stores and facilities better every day for our team members, customers, and communities. As a Pharmacy Manager, you'll play a key role in achieving this goal.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy department, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
- Supervise pharmacy staff, including staff pharmacists, technicians, and clerks, and provide training and development opportunities.
- Ensure accurate and timely filling of prescriptions, as well as provide customer counseling and remarkable customer service.
- Communicate effectively with the healthcare team, patients, and third-party insurance companies.
- Manage inventory, including ordering, addressing out-of-stocks, and maintaining inventory goals.
- Complete and file paperwork as per company policy.
- Interface with supervision, operations, field support, and store management.
- Meet with store management team regularly to review metrics, set goals, and objectives.
- Responsible for resolving temperature excursions in the pharmacy and developing response plans.
- Seek out marketing opportunities in the community, such as immunization clinics and community participation.
