Job Overview:
We are looking for an experienced and meticulous Senior Estimator for Commercial Projects to join our innovative team. The successful candidate will possess a solid background in estimating commercial construction endeavors and will be tasked with accurately assessing the costs associated with construction projects by analyzing project documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Examine and interpret project documentation, including plans and specifications, to generate time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
- Work collaboratively with architects, engineers, and contractors to clarify project specifications and ensure precise estimates.
- Conduct site assessments to grasp project scope and identify potential challenges.
- Develop comprehensive cost estimates that encompass labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor expenses.
- Track and revise cost estimates throughout the project lifecycle.
- Engage in effective communication with project managers, clients, and stakeholders to ensure alignment and resolve any discrepancies.
- Assist in preparing bid proposals and actively participate in the bidding process.
- Maintain and refresh historical cost data and unit pricing for various construction activities.
- Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and material pricing.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial construction estimating.
- Proficient in construction estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and mathematical abilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational capabilities.
