Job SummaryWe are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Marine Air Conditioning Technician to install, retrofit, and repair marine air conditioning and refrigeration systems on Navy ships. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC theory, pipe-fitting, electrical, and mechanical layouts.
Responsibilities- Install and repair marine air conditioning and refrigeration systems on Navy ships, following blueprints, wiring diagrams, and engineering specifications.
- Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC systems, including surveys, replacements, and modifications as needed.
- Provide technical support to customers, including troubleshooting and repairing systems.
- Document work by completing paperwork on each job and maintaining files and reports.
- Collaborate with customers to understand their needs and provide solutions.
- 3+ years of experience in HVAC installation, repair, and maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC theory, pipe-fitting, electrical, and mechanical layouts.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with customers.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel occasionally.
