We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Enlivant. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our kitchen and ensuring that our residents receive the highest quality meals.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Oversee the preparation and presentation of meals, ensuring that they meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.
- Manage the kitchen staff, including hiring, training, and evaluating their performance.
- Develop and implement menus that cater to the diverse dietary needs of our residents.
- Ensure compliance with state and local health and safety regulations.
- Manage kitchen inventory, ordering, and budgeting.
- Collaborate with our dietary team to ensure that our residents receive the best possible dining experience.
**Requirements:**
- Minimum of 1 year of culinary experience, preferably in a senior living or skilled nursing environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to lift 30 pounds regularly and do occasional heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds).
- Ability to stand for at least 80% of the scheduled shift.
- Ability to work a full shift, come to work on time, and work overtime as needed.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
- Experience with dining services in a Chef, Cook, Sous Chef, or Dietary Aide role.
- Restaurant, food service, or banquet experience helpful.
- Experience in a senior living or skilled nursing culinary environment a plus.
- Hospitality and supervisory experience a plus.
- Possess time management and organizational skills.
- ServSafe Managers Certificate (obtain within 90 days of employment).
