Position Summary:
The Site Construction Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating on-site construction activities for designated subdivisions. This role involves monitoring the progress of each construction phase, ensuring quality craftsmanship, and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction in alignment with company objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in budgeting and scheduling to ensure timely completion of construction phases, coordinating subcontractor work and deliveries.
- Act as a liaison between operations, subcontractors, and vendors, supervising their work and ensuring timely completion and accurate deliveries.
- Conduct daily inspections of homes under construction to ensure adherence to quality control standards, monitoring the use of materials and equipment.
- Review site plans and blueprints to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Facilitate pre-construction and pre-settlement meetings with home buyers, addressing any customer service issues and production challenges to enhance satisfaction.
- Assist in managing production costs by reviewing time sheets, invoices, and delivery documentation.
- Provide training and enforce safety and company policy compliance among subordinates and subcontractors.
- Supervise and support team members while carrying out responsibilities in accordance with company policies.
- Participate in special projects and perform additional duties as needed.
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma with relevant coursework in construction management and a minimum of four years of related experience, including supervisory roles and a solid understanding of building codes and regulations.
Skills: Ability to adapt and work effectively in a fast-paced environment, strong decision-making and problem-solving skills, excellent customer service orientation, and effective communication skills for diverse interactions.
Proficient in maintenance and carpentry, blueprint reading, and the use of hand and power tools.
Work Environment:
Exposure to various environmental conditions and some health and safety risks, necessitating appropriate precautions and equipment. A valid driver's license is required due to travel demands.
