Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Laboratory Transcription Specialist to join our team at Sonic Anatomic Pathology. As a key member of our laboratory operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of transcription services.

Responsibilities
  • Perform final dictation entry formatting, including microscopic description, final diagnosis, and comment fields.
  • Assign appropriate pathologists to each case.
  • Document case holds generated by transcription.
  • Assign ICD codes on derm cases.
  • Edit fee codes.
  • Designate Cancer call and Special Event cases in CoPath.
Requirements
  • A minimum of one year experience as a pathology transcriptionist or medical transcription experience.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, effective oral and written communication skills via telephone, email, and in person.
  • Grammar and proofreading skills, attention to detail, and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team, with excellent customer service skills.
