Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Customer Service Representative to join our team at Anthem. As a key member of our customer service team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support to our brokers and clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist agents and brokers via telephone or written communication to resolve customer inquiries and issues.
  • Work on special projects for brokers, group administrators, and other stakeholders to create new reports and meet client needs.
  • Assist managers with broker and client meetings to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Respond to inquiries involving commissions, legislation, product information, and policies and procedures for Individual, Small Group, Dental, and Life insurance.
  • Coordinate mailings and fulfillment requests to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
  • May assist in broker road shows to promote our products and services.
  • Provide reports to brokers to keep them informed of their account status and performance.
  • Perform simple Enrollment and Billing maintenance transactions to ensure accurate and timely processing.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of related customer service experience required.
  • Previous health insurance industry experience preferred.
  • Medicare knowledge strongly preferred.
  • State of VA License (must obtain within 30 days of hire - employer paid).
  • Strong knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint required.
  • Advanced benefits, claims processing, or membership knowledge preferred.
  • Bilingual preferred.
