We currently have an opening for a 3rd Shift Machine Operator at our manufacturing facility. In this role, you will be responsible for the proficient operation of various saw machines to produce high-quality foam materials, ensuring that production schedules are met for our valued customers.

This position operates within a standard manufacturing setting, where you will encounter varying temperatures and noise levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace.
  • Operate slitter saws according to established guidelines.
  • Monitor equipment functionality and report any issues to the supervisor or maintenance team.
  • Make manual adjustments based on product specifications.
  • Conduct quality inspections to ensure compliance with product standards.
  • Minimize downtime by effectively monitoring equipment.
  • Document relevant data in the recording system.
  • Adhere to a prepared production schedule for cutting foam slabs into usable components.
  • Follow work instructions to uphold quality standards.
  • Adjust cutting schedules to optimize the use of foam slabs.
  • Communicate with management regarding the proper labeling of cut materials.
  • Possess the ability to become a Certified Forklift Operator, if necessary.
  • Lift and adjust heavy foam pieces, weighing up to 75 lbs, throughout the shift.

Additional Requirements:

  • Must be flexible with hours, including overtime, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to read a basic tape measure.
  • Basic reading, writing, and math skills are essential.
  • Some computer experience is required for daily operations.
  • Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions.
  • Capability to perform minor maintenance on machinery.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Education: High School Diploma or GED

Experience: Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
