Position Overview:
Become an integral part of a mission-driven organization committed to enhancing the economic independence and civil rights of African Americans and other marginalized communities in the Greater Pittsburgh region.
As a Counselor for the Senior Workers Jobs Program, your role will involve identifying and engaging new partner organizations to serve as training sites for participants. You will be responsible for recruiting, interviewing, and conducting initial orientations for applicants. Additionally, you will complete timely assessments of participants, maintain case management notes, and develop Individual Employment Plans (IEP). Data entry into the Department of Labor Database System (SPARQ) will also be part of your responsibilities.

Bachelor's degree and a minimum of one year of relevant experience.
Preferred Experience:
Previous experience in counseling, case management, and working with economically disadvantaged individuals or older adults is essential. Proficiency in computer skills, data entry, data management, and supervisory experience is highly desirable.
Required Clearances, Licenses, and Certifications:
Candidates must provide current, valid clearances (Child Abuse Clearance, FBI Fingerprints Clearance, and PATCH) before commencing employment.
Candidates should have proof of full COVID-19 vaccination status or be willing to obtain the vaccine or provide a valid medical/religious exemption prior to starting.
