About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Contract Analyst to join our team at the State of Washington. As a Contract Analyst, you will play a critical role in reviewing and evaluating healthcare benefit management contracts to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze and evaluate HCBM contracts using checklists, applicable laws, and regulations.
  • Report and consult with supervisors and program managers on issues that restrict companies from issuing compliant contracts.
  • Communicate compliance concerns with contract provisions and HCBMs.
  • Establish necessary requirements for contracts to be considered compliant.
  • Conduct research to provide subject matter guidance and information to relevant parties.
  • Facilitate resolution with contracting issues or non-compliance.
  • Consult and discuss contract form provisions, regulations, and case law with OIC staff to ensure consistent and uniform review standards.
Requirements
  • 6 years of experience in contract writing, management, or regulation, or a combination of the following: degree completion, ensuring compliance with governmental statutory and regulatory requirements, professional private or public sector work on insurance lines, professional private work on healthcare third-party services, reviewing legal documents and forms.
  • Intermediate level Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, and Excel skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience using the System for Electronic Rate and Form Filing (SERFF) software program.
