Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Research Finance Analyst to join our team at NYU Langone Health. As a key member of our Sponsored Research Operations team, you will be responsible for providing post-award financial management of industry-sponsored clinical trials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Controls and Compliance: Perform work within established goals and objectives for Research Financial Operations, collaborate with investigators and study teams to ensure accuracy and completeness of clinical trial billing, and manage Accounts Receivable, Reconciliation, and Closeout Processes for clinical trials.
  • Position Specific: Complete timely and accurate invoicing processes compliant with institutional policies, track start-up and recurring fees, and support processes related to the recognition and transfer of fees to appropriate departments. Monitor clinical research accounts and resolve issues with study and departmental personnel.
  • Planning, Organizing, Collaborating, and Decision Making: Perform within plan, established priorities, and across multiple functional areas. Exercise initiative and sound judgment in performance, escalate issues appropriately, and contribute meaningfully to developing solutions.
  • Monitoring, Quality Control, Reporting, and Record Keeping: Assist the Billing Team Lead in developing exception reporting, perform routine quality control, and maintain an accessible electronic final copy of all external formal submissions.
  • Quality Control (Improving Business Processes): Follow all SLAs and procedures, assist in cross-training for staff, and practice Continuous Improvement.
  • Communications: Communicate effectively with staff, peers, senior management, and faculty, and positively represent the Institution when dealing with sponsors and outside institutions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Finance, Accounting, or related degree.
  • 3 years prior experience with invoicing, post-award finance, or accounting in a healthcare or research setting.
  • Prior experience with PeopleSoft financials.
  • Advanced Database and spreadsheet skills (Excel).
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
