Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Associate Manager to lead our Disputes team at Social Finance Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for training and developing a team focused on disputes, complaints, appeals, and dispute-related activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the Disputes team to ensure timely and accurate resolution of disputes, complaints, and appeals.
  • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of dispute types, industry trends, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to troubleshoot issues and improve dispute resolution processes.
  • Proactively work with management to identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and quality.
  • Direct workflows between staff and ensure effective communication with internal and external partners.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with staff, internal partners, and external stakeholders to ensure dispute activities comply with all laws and regulations.
  • Provide coaching and timely feedback to team members, including writing and facilitating mid-year and yearly reviews.
  • Facilitate weekly team meetings and regular check-ins with team members.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years of previous experience in banking disputes and investigations.
  • Minimum 3 years of previous management experience at a financial institution.
  • Experience working in processes that must adhere to NACHA, Reg E, Reg CC, Reg D, Truth in Savings Act, etc.
  • Ability to learn new processes and systems quickly.
  • Knowledge of banking compliance trends, rules, and regulations.
  • Experience in training staff on new processes and procedures.
  • Demonstrate ability to lead a team.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Professional demeanor and excellent work habits.
  • Sound judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Interpersonal skills/ Ability to establish peer relationships.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Management experience and familiarity with Social Finance Ltd values.
  • Experience managing relationships with off-shore global operations partners.
  • Experience in customer service, as this role may require outbound calls.
  • A CFE or similar industry designation.
