At Arnold & Porter, we are seeking a highly skilled Policy Advisor to join our Legislative and Public Policy Practice Group in Washington, D.C. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a top-rated legislative practice and contribute to the success of our clients.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of experience working in Congress, an Executive branch department or agency, or in a government relations role on behalf of an association, interest group, or company. Experience working on tax, trade, technology, and/or energy policy matters is highly preferred.

We offer a dynamic and fast-paced work environment that rewards initiative and teamwork. Our team is comprised of approximately 35 people and works closely with clients to develop and execute strategic advocacy plans.

As a Policy Advisor, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing and executing strategic advocacy plans
  • Working closely with clients to understand their policy needs and goals
  • Providing expert advice on federal legislative and regulatory matters
  • Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders
  • Staying up-to-date on the latest policy developments and trends
