Job Title: Quality Assurance Intern

At Hawaiian Host, we are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Intern to join our team. As a Quality Assurance Intern, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of our products.

Job Summary:

The Quality Assurance Intern will assist with conducting pre-operational line checks, monitoring temperature readings, and verifying metal detector and x-ray operations. You will also assist with updating and maintaining records, files, and logs, and participate on various work teams as assigned.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist with conducting pre-operational line checks, including ATP swab testing, general line condition monitoring, and employee GMP/hygiene review.
  • Monitor and log temperature readings for specific equipment throughout the production/warehouse areas.
  • Verify metal detector and x-ray operations.
  • Assist with updating and maintaining records, files, and logs.
  • Participate on various work teams as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in food science or relevant major and currently enrolled.
  • One (1) year of work experience is preferred.
  • Ability to read, interpret, analyze, and problem solve with attention to detail.
  • Good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule (i.e., night/day shift) and weekends, as needed.
Physical Demands:

The Quality Assurance Intern will be required to work in a fast-paced production environment and may be exposed to various physical and environmental conditions.
