The Chamberlain Group Inc is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Enterprise Risk Management to lead and develop the Risk Management strategy for the organization. This role is responsible for protecting the assets of the company using a methodical approach of identification, implementation, management, and control of known and unknown risks.
Key Responsibilities- Risk Identification and Mitigation: Identify loss exposures, recommend solutions, direct the structure of insurance programs, and implement approved programs and other risk mitigation strategies.
- Insurance Program Management: Manage insurance carrier and broker relationships, evaluating market conditions throughout the renewal cycle.
- Insurance Program Structure and Negotiation: Research insurance program structures based on company risk profile, risk appetite, and market availability; negotiate most favorable terms and conditions at renewal based on appropriate levels of retained liability.
- Reporting and Compliance: Prepare supporting documentation, meet with auditor, and review casualty program audit work annually. Provide regular reporting to senior executives and the Audit Committee related to insurance program structure, policy terms, limits, and deductibles, loss payments, and reserves, and overall cost of risk.
- Claim Management: Manage end-to-end claim process for all insurance policies; manage relationship with all insurance carriers, brokers, third-party administrators, and legal counsels.
- Business Continuity Planning: Implement and manage all aspects of the Business Continuity Plan, including administration of company-wide BCP programs, performance of periodic system reviews, and maintenance of best practices.
- Insurance Budgeting: Develop and maintain insurance budget for all lines of coverage.
- Risk Due Diligence: Perform risk due diligence and integration for all acquisitions and investment opportunities.
- Emerging Risks and Market Responses: Maintain awareness of emerging risks and market responses to these risks, including insurance products and risk transfer vehicles; evaluate and propose options to management as appropriate.
- Team Leadership: Motivate and lead a high-performance team by attracting, developing, engaging, and retaining team members.
- Performance Management: Drive the performance management and compensation processes by communicating job expectations, monitoring and evaluating performance, providing feedback, and facilitating employee development per the company's policies.
- Communication and Culture: Maintain transparent communication by appropriately communicating organization information to team through department meetings, one-on-one meetings, and regular interpersonal communications. Lead and motivate individuals and teams to create a workplace culture that is consistent with the Chamberlain Group Inc mission, vision, and values.
- Bachelor's Degree; ARM required.
- 10-15 years of progressive experience in the fields of insurance or risk management.
- Ability to establish and maintain relationships with key underwriters, brokers, and other service providers; must possess strong problem identification and resolution capabilities, along with strong and professional judgment and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to travel up to 15%, both international and/or domestic travel may be required.
