Medical Laboratory Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Lab Technician to join our team at the Detroit Medical Center. As a Medical Lab Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of laboratory test results.
Key Responsibilities- Perform quantitative and qualitative laboratory tests on patient specimens according to standard laboratory formulas and procedures.
- Analyze test results and prepare samples for testing.
- Calculate test findings and maintain accurate records.
- Prepare and determine the validity of solutions, reagents, media stains, and various materials in the testing process.
- Process and test all types of laboratory specimens; review and report lab results; perform operational duties, maintenance, and advanced troubleshooting of laboratory instrumentation and equipment.
- Bachelor's Degree from an approved college or university and/or graduate of an accredited school of medical technology, or equivalent.
- Minimum 6 months to 1 year of medical laboratory technologist or clinical laboratory scientist experience in an acute care facility.
- Registered or registry eligible in accordance with an approved certifying agency (ASCP, NCA, AMT, or CSMLS within 12 months of hire).
