Job Title: Junior Systems Engineer

We are seeking a talented Junior Systems Engineer to join our team at Leidos. As a Junior Systems Engineer, you will work in a matrixed organization, supporting the Enduring Shield Program on a team consisting of three other Systems and Reliability engineers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform RAM analyses such as reliability prediction, Mean Time to Repair (MTTR), reliability block diagrams (RBD), Failure Modes Effect Analysis (FMEA), Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), obsolescence, etc.
  • Develop requirements specifications derived from customer needs, interfacing with program management and design engineers to support the program's systems engineering needs throughout its design life cycle.
  • Model system behavior, define the system architecture, dictate system interfaces, perform requirements verification, help develop test programs, and maintain configuration management.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent technical/engineering degree from an ABET-accredited university.
  • Educational or professional experience in deriving requirements for complex electrical, electro-mechanical, mechanical, and software systems.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative engineering environment, working closely with multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Demonstrated experience effectively communicating within a team environment.
  • Resourcefulness, problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Reliasoft and/or other reliability analysis tools such as Relyence.
  • Experience with LTSpice or other electronic circuit simulator software.
  • Experience conducting reliability-related analyses such as MTTR, MTBF, FMEA, RBD, power dissipation, and derating.
  • Educational or professional experience in working with SysML to develop Model-Based Systems Engineering diagrams.
  • Experience working with Cameo Systems Modeler or any variant of that software.
  • INCOSE Systems Engineering Professional (SEP) certification (ASEP).
  • Understanding of the DoD acquisition processes and methods.
  • Experience supporting DoD, NASA, or DARPA programs.

Pay Range: $53, $97,525.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
