Gedeon GRC Consulting is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lead Civil Engineer to oversee all aspects of civil engineering projects from conception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of project management principles, design techniques, and regulatory requirements.

As the Lead Civil Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in guiding our team of engineers and ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.

Responsibilities
  • Provide expert guidance and mentorship to a team of civil engineers.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of contract documents, including plans, specifications, and estimates, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Develop and implement project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
  • Collaborate closely with clients to understand their needs and expectations, effectively communicating project progress and addressing any concerns.
  • Oversee the design process, from conceptualization to final construction drawings, utilizing industry-standard software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D and MicroStation.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable environmental, safety, and regulatory standards.
  • Manage financial performance of projects, tracking expenses and revenue to ensure profitability.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and professional development.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in New York State.
  • Minimum of ten years of progressive experience in the A/E/C industry, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
  • In-depth knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices, including roadway design, stormwater management, and utility infrastructure.
  • Strong understanding of federal and state design guidelines, such as AASHTO.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, InRoads, Bluebeam, and Adobe software suite.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, effectively managing multiple projects simultaneously.
