At Stark County District Library OMJST, we are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Maintenance Technician II. This role is responsible for ensuring the safe and timely delivery of materials and other items across the system, as well as performing light maintenance tasks and custodial duties in assigned areas of library buildings and grounds.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver materials, supplies, and other needed items to library facilities and other destinations as assigned
- Perform all duties related to the receipt and shipping of mail and other library materials
- Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service
- Complete light or semi-skilled maintenance tasks as needed across the system
- Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors, including public hallways and department offices, meeting rooms, and restrooms
- Clean, dust, and polish furniture, equipment, fixtures, surfaces, walls, window sills, trim, doors, cabinets, vents, or other surfaces
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods
