Job SummaryWe are seeking a credentialed veterinary technician to join our team. As an emergency veterinary technician, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with our veterinary team, and contributing to the growth and development of our organization.
Key Responsibilities- Treat each patient with compassion and care, performing basic to intermediate nursing care tasks, patient monitoring, and treatments.
- Use critical thinking and leadership skills to carry out patient treatment plans in coordination with the veterinary team.
- Administer medications, set up and maintain intravenous fluid therapy, and perform diagnostic tests.
- Participate in patient rounds, contribute to incoming outpatient care, and ongoing inpatient care.
- Be trained to perform CPR and collect samples for diagnostic testing.
- Credentialed as a veterinary technician (CVT, RVT, LVT, LVMT) in the location of the VEG practice.
- 1+ years of experience in a veterinary technician role, with experience in emergency or specialty medicine preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, fine motor skills, and ability to stand for prolonged hours.
