Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Residential Counselor to join our team at MAB Community Services. As a Residential Counselor, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with disabilities in our cluster homes, promoting their personal growth, and fostering a sense of community membership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct support to participants in cluster homes, ensuring their physical, emotional, and mental well-being.
  • Develop and implement person-centered plans, advocating for participants' choices, interests, and needs.
  • Assist with daily living activities, such as bathing, cooking, cleaning, and toileting, as required.
  • Manage challenging situations, facilitate problem-solving, and provide positive behavioral supports.
  • Collaborate with community partners to provide opportunities for participants to develop meaningful relationships and become contributing members of the community.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree and/or related experience preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with participants, families, and community professionals.
  • Valid MA driver's license and ability to drive program vehicles and wheelchair vans.
  • Ability to lift and/or carry lightweight and moderately heavy objects, and assist in lifting and transferring participants.
  • Comfort with computers and ability to learn new reporting software.
Work Schedule

Wednesday to Friday: 3pm-11pm, Saturday: 9am-11pm

Additional shifts: Tuesday: 12pm-11pm, Monday/Wednesday: 11am-8pm, Sunday: 9am-8pm
