ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
As the Director of Dietary Services, you will oversee the planning, organization, and management of the Dietary Department, ensuring compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local regulations. Your leadership will be crucial in delivering high-quality food service and nutritional care.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Exemplify commitment to the organization's mission and ethical standards.
- Foster a positive and professional environment that encourages teamwork and collaboration among staff.
- Ensure all residents receive respectful and dignified treatment, safeguarding their rights at all times.
- Maintain respect for residents' personal and property rights during all interactions.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures diligently.
- Manage inventory effectively, ensuring adequate supplies are available and overseeing procurement from approved vendors.
- Implement comprehensive inventory control measures.
- Conduct initial dietary assessments upon resident admission and maintain ongoing communication to evaluate satisfaction and address any dietary needs.
- Oversee menu development and ensure compliance with established policies and physician directives.
- Assist in evaluating the quality and quantity of food provided.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 3-5 years of supervisory experience in dietary management within healthcare settings is required.
- Strong knowledge of dietary regulations and guidelines applicable to healthcare facilities.
- Preferred training in cost management and food service operations.
- Possession of a valid dietary management certification as mandated by state law.
- Completion of an approved food safety program is essential.
- A high school diploma is required; a Bachelor's degree in nutrition, dietetics, or a related field is preferred.
