Application Maintenance
Responsibilities include ensuring these applications are consistently operational, which involves maintaining the essential technical frameworks that support these systems.
User Engagement
This position will engage with users to ascertain specific application requirements, create suitable designs, develop the application, generate documentation that aligns with organizational standards, and ensure ongoing support for the application.
Liaison Role
The analyst will serve as the main point of contact between healthcare providers and the Information Services department regarding the Physician Portal application, assisting in defining the technical requirements of the physician group to ensure optimal support.
Qualifications
A Bachelor's Degree is required, although relevant experience may substitute for the degree. Candidates should possess 2 to 4 years of analytical experience, particularly with hospital software applications. Proficiency in web technologies such as HTML, DHTML, and XML is essential, along with familiarity with web tools like HTML Editors, SQL, and ColdFusion.
Experience with relational databases, including Microsoft Access and SQL Server, is necessary. Knowledge of various operating systems, such as Unix-AIX and Windows Server, is also required. Programming skills in languages such as Java, JavaScript, and Python are advantageous.
Skills
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, strong analytical and interpersonal skills, and familiarity with the information needs of clinical departments are critical. Candidates should understand hospital policies and possess exceptional problem-solving skills.
Physical requirements include the ability to assist in moving equipment weighing at least 30 pounds and the capacity to maintain focus during prolonged periods of sitting.
