Job Title: Business Systems Analyst

Advanced Systems Design is seeking a Business Systems Analyst to join our team. As a Business Systems Analyst, you will serve as a liaison between the business community and the IT organization, providing technical solutions to meet user needs.

The ideal candidate will possess expertise in the business unit(s) they support, as well as an understanding of the IT organization's systems and capabilities. They will analyze business partner's operations to understand their strengths and weaknesses, and determine opportunities to automate processes and functions.

The Business Systems Analyst will assist in the business process redesign and documentation as needed for new technology, and translate high-level business requirements into functional specifications for the IT organization. They will also manage changes to such specifications, educate the IT organization on the direction of the business, and negotiate agreements and commitments by facilitating communication between business unit(s) and IT.

The successful candidate will possess an understanding of technological trends and use this knowledge to bring solutions to business units supported to enhance the enterprise's competitive edge. They will also make recommendations for buy vs. build decisions, and provide deliverables such as requirement specification documents, functional specification documents, and support for testing and deployment of applications.

Required qualifications include 3+ years of relevant technical or business work experience, proficiency with MS Office, and the ability to work with Subject Matter Experts to understand application requirements. The ideal candidate will also be able to communicate clearly and precisely with vendors and program team members.

Preferred qualifications include some SQL experience, knowledge of Health Language 7 (HL7), and strong understanding and experience related to business analysis methodologies/processes and Agile methodologies.

Education required includes a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or other related field, or equivalent work experience.
