SGI Global is in search of a Senior Financial Analyst/Investigator to provide essential support to the United States Attorney's Office (USAO) for the Northern District of Illinois. This role involves conducting thorough financial investigations, delivering analytical services related to the collection of criminal monetary penalties and civil debts, and offering additional analytical support as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in witness interviews alongside case counsel or federal agents, preparing summaries of these interviews when necessary.
  • Examine allegations to pinpoint sources of information and evidence pertinent to the case's defense, including financial, medical, and other litigation-related data, and communicate findings to agents or case counsel.
  • Oversee incoming discovery responses, such as subpoena returns and party discovery requests, while identifying necessary follow-up actions.
  • Conduct comprehensive background research on parties and witnesses using open-source databases, social media, litigation history, and criminal records.
  • Capture relevant imagery (e.g., accident scenes) and create diagrams, maps, and other visual aids.
  • Coordinate witness arrangements for trials and evidentiary hearings.
  • Assist in the identification and preparation of demonstrative exhibits, including schematics, medical illustrations, and summaries.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in managing information requests, problem-solving, prioritizing tasks, meeting deadlines, and communicating effectively with officials and senior personnel.
  • Proficient in various software applications, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Word Perfect.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Background and/or Security Investigation is required.
