Responsibilities
  • Assess and review the selection of evidence-based and therapeutically appropriate anticancer therapies
  • Review pathology reports, laboratory values, and concurrent medications for appropriateness and potential medication-related problems
  • Assess, monitor, and manage anticancer therapy adverse reactions or toxicities
  • Assess and monitor primary and secondary supportive care elements for inclusion in anticancer therapy protocols
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for medication-related questions as well as precept pharmacy and medical students or residents
  • Provide patient and caregiver education on anticancer therapy, supportive care medications, symptom management, and adherence as well as safe medication handling, administration, and disposal
  • Collaborate with clinic staff to connect patients with MultiCare Specialty Pharmacy resources
Requirements
  • Licensed or eligible to be licensed as a pharmacist in the State of Washington; If not currently licensed in Washington, must receive Washington State Pharmacist License within 90 days from date of employment
  • Two (2) years of experience as a pharmacist in an oncology setting (required)
  • Completion of an ASHP accredited PGY-1 Residency (preferred)
  • Completion of an ASHP accredited PGY-2 Pharmacy Residency in Oncology (preferred)
  • BCOP (Board Certified Oncology Pharmacist) certification (preferred)

Benefits

We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. The pay scale is $150, $196,186.00 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education.
