Job Summary

Cleveland Clinic is seeking a highly skilled Pharmacist (PRN) to join our Oncology team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide patient-centered care and ensure the safe and effective use of medications.

Responsibilities
  • Provide safe and efficient medication services to patients
  • Verify medication orders and dispense medications accurately
  • Document services in a complete and accurate manner
  • Contribute to medication safety initiatives
  • Utilize technology proficiently to provide patient care
  • Ensure compliance with national accreditation standards
  • Maintain professional interactions with patients and caregivers
  • Direct staff to provide safe and efficient care
  • Promote a positive work environment and provide constructive feedback
  • Educate and train students, residents, and caregivers
  • Provide cost-effective care and adhere to drug use policies
  • Utilize time and resources effectively
Requirements
  • PharmD or Bachelors of Science degree in Pharmacy from an accredited college of pharmacy
  • Current State licensure as a Registered Pharmacist (RPh) or eligible for reciprocation in current State within 90 days of hire
  • Board Certification preferred
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through American Heart Association (AHA) and completion of a Board of Pharmacy approved course in the administration of immunizations or certification obtained within 90 days of hire
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification through American Heart Association (AHA), or certification obtained within one (1) year of hire
Work Environment

Cleveland Clinic is a dynamic and fast-paced healthcare environment that requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work unsupervised or with minimal supervision. The successful candidate will be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Physical Requirements

The typical physical demands of this role include standing and walking for prolonged periods, approximately 75% of shift, and continuously for extended periods. Manual dexterity is required to perform computer and dispensing functions, and the ability to lift up to 30 lbs. Normal or corrected vision and the ability to clearly communicate verbally are also required.

Personal Protective Equipment

The successful candidate will follow standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
