Job Summary

As an Automation Apprentice at Lufkin Industries, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation and installation of Lufkin Automation equipment. This position requires a strong understanding of electrical and electronic systems, as well as excellent problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Service and maintain Lufkin Automation equipment under direct supervision
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with electrical and electronic equipment
  • Perform on-site installation of electrical and electronic equipment, including conduits
  • Operate various electronic tools and equipment, such as auto cranes and stud guns
  • Assess and address well-optimization issues independently or with the help of technical specialists
  • Collaborate with other business entities and manage customer service standards and quality
  • Follow HSE procedures rigorously
  • Other projects as required
Requirements
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical activities in different types of weather conditions
  • Basic computer skills, including MS Office Suite
  • Ability to work independently and in team settings
  • Experience in oilfield operations, automation, and instrumentation (preferred)
  • Strong commitment to safety and quality standards
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to manage inventory
