Key Responsibilities- Removal and Transportation
- Safely transport deceased individuals in company-owned vehicles, adhering to local and state laws, as well as company policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of transportation, including chain-of-custody and paperwork.
- Cooperate with first responders, coroners, hospital staff, and senior living facility staff to ensure smooth transportation processes.
- Interact with bereaved family members in a professional and sensitive manner, minimizing conversation and maintaining a warm and courteous first impression.
- Vehicle Maintenance
- Ensure company vehicles are presentable and well-maintained, including washing, vacuuming, and cleaning.
- Fuel vehicles as necessary and follow safety guidelines and expenditure processes.
- Maintain personal protective and removal supplies in vehicles, including cleaning products.
- Identify and report any vehicle engine or operating issues to management.
- Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Current state/province issued driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- At least one (1) year of work experience as a courier or driver, with direct customer interaction preferred.
- Ability to work a schedule that supports business needs, including weekends and nights.
- Ability to work on-call weekends, nights, and holidays rotation.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and push/pull up to 200 pounds.
- Ability to drive in hazardous, heavy traffic, and weather conditions.
- Basic computer skills required.
