Job Description

Role: Cloud Software Architect

Location: Santa Clara, CA (onsite)

Interview: Phone/Skype

Employment Type: Contract (C2C/W2)

Job Description:

  • 15+ years of experience in software development, with expertise in Springboot and SpringCloud.
  • Deep understanding of software engineering principles and process, with the ability to apply this knowledge to execute projects and optimize development strategies.
  • Strong skills in critical thinking, decision making, problem-solving, and attention to details.
  • Experience with building cloud vendor-agnostic SaaS products.
  • Experience in Java, Spring boot microservices, deployed as containers in Kubernetes ecosystem.
  • In-depth understanding of microservices architectures, technological familiarity with public/private/hybrid cloud, Openstack, GCE, Kubernetes, AWS.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop scalable cloud-based systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and evolve architecture and system design.
  • Partner with product managers and stakeholders to identify problems and explore solutions.
  • Design new workflows, identify gaps, and build efficient flows.
  • Produce software artifacts, write code, and deliver high-quality software for production consumption.
  • Solicit feedback from stakeholders and provide helpful feedback to other designers.

Requirements:

  • 15+ years of experience in software development.
  • Deep understanding of software engineering principles and process.
  • Experience with building cloud vendor-agnostic SaaS products.
  • Experience in Java, Spring boot microservices, deployed as containers in Kubernetes ecosystem.
  • In-depth understanding of microservices architectures, technological familiarity with public/private/hybrid cloud, Openstack, GCE, Kubernetes, AWS.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with RabbitMQ, Kafka, NATS, Redis, and Memcached.
  • Good to have OAuth, OpenID, SAML-based authentication experience.
  • Strong written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
