Role Overview:
As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for the routine and long-term upkeep of our intricate foundry and mill machinery within an industrial manufacturing setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct preventative maintenance and perform troubleshooting, repairs, adjustments, and rebuilds on industrial production machinery and ancillary equipment.
- Utilize mobile equipment, including forklifts, skid steer loaders, shop cranes, scissor lifts, and articulating man lifts, as necessary to fulfill maintenance tasks.
- Interpret and follow safety protocols and work instructions, both verbal and written, to meet required specifications.
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings and blueprints accurately.
- Demonstrate a foundational understanding of general mechanical systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and rotating assemblies (bearings, couplings, gears, gear trains, chains, sprockets, brakes, clutches, belts, and pulleys).
- Possess knowledge in diagnosing and overhauling various types of pumps, such as centrifugal, diaphragm, and piston pumps.
- Utilize precision measurement tools, including calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators, effectively.
- Exhibit initiative, multitasking abilities, and a capacity to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
- Basic computer skills are required.
