Job Title: Industrial Electrician

Golden Aluminum is seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician to join our team at our Fort Lupton, Colorado facility. As an Industrial Electrician, you will be responsible for performing day-to-day and long-term maintenance of our complex foundry and mill equipment in an industrial manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairing, adjusting, and rebuilding industrial production machinery and supporting equipment.
  • Reviewing and assisting with the creation of the maintenance schedule, work instructions, work logs, and other company information.
  • Maintaining electrical equipment to meet regulatory codes.
  • Interpreting safety and work instructions, both verbal and written, to understand required specifications.
  • Inspecting machinery to maintain specified parameters.
  • Operating mobile equipment, such as forklifts, skid steer loaders, shop cranes, scissor lifts, and articulating man lifts, as required to perform maintenance duties.
  • Reading and interpreting mechanical and electric drawings and blueprints.
  • Troubleshooting and rebuilding various types of pumps, including centrifugal, diaphragm, and piston pumps.
  • Using precision measurement tools, including calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators.
  • Experience with 13.2 volts, DC transformers from 12v to 1200v, 480 vac.
  • Knowledge of Control Logix, Allan Bradley, Automax, Automate, and Modicon.
  • Using Fluke 289 multimeters, ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes.
  • Knowledge of AC and DC drives.
  • Knowledge of Red Lion controls preferred.
  • Experience with replacing motor brushes on 1600 hp DC motors down to 5 hp.
  • Knowledge of gas burners is essential.

  • Advanced mechanical and electrical knowledge, ability, and aptitude.
  • Ability to analyze and execute problem-solving techniques.
  • Ability to work in a team setting as well as be a self-starter that can multitask.
  • Basic computer skills.
