We are seeking a highly skilled Cytotechnologist to join our team at Staff Icons. As a Cytotechnologist, you will be responsible for performing complex testing and analyzing results to ensure accurate diagnoses.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct moderate and high complexity testing using technical skills and abilities
- Follow laboratory procedures for specimen handling, test analysis, and reporting
- Maintain accurate records of patient results
- Operate test systems proficiently and troubleshoot issues as needed
- Utilize job knowledge, judgment, and problem-solving skills to ensure quality of laboratory services
- Participate in quality control and quality assurance programs
- Perform and document preventative maintenance
- Identify and address potential issues affecting test performance or reporting
- Medical Laboratory Technologist License from NYS Department of Education as a Cytotechnologist
- Department of Education (ASCP examination eligible)
- Degree in Medical Technology or Clinical Laboratory Technology
