Position Overview

The Property Claims Consultant operates under limited supervision, tasked with the investigation, negotiation, and resolution of moderately complex property damage and liability insurance claims.

This role involves traveling to the site of the loss to perform a comprehensive assessment. The Consultant reviews the insurance policy, assesses damages, determines coverage, and authorizes payments.



Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a detailed claim file with notes, evaluations, and decision-making rationale.
  • Summarize documentation and input notes into the claims system.
  • Conduct investigations for subrogation.
  • Negotiate and resolve claims in alignment with best practices of the business unit.
  • Prepare damage estimates for moderately complex claims.
  • Inform insured parties of any exposure exceeding policy limits.
  • Complete and review inventory of contents, pricing, and mitigation invoices.
  • Investigate, analyze, and verify moderately complex coverage and policy details.

Education Requirements

  • A Bachelor's Degree (Preferred).

Experience Requirements

  • At least 2 years of relevant experience (Preferred).

Supervisory Duties

  • This position does not entail supervisory responsibilities.

Alternative Education & Experience

  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of the stated educational requirements.

Compensation Details
The compensation for this role is $50,987.50 annually, determined by experience and qualifications.
Successful candidates will undergo a background check, including a drug screening.
