Cytology Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Cytology Specialist to join our team at System One. As a Cytology Specialist, you will be responsible for participating in the development of new methods, evaluating quality, and providing guidance on the correct use of cytology specimens and slide interpretation.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in the development of new cytology methods and evaluate their quality.
• Provide guidance on the correct use of cytology specimens and slide interpretation.
• Compare cytology methodologies and results with Pap testing.
• Review slide staining and perform analytical techniques on specimens.
• Qualify incoming samples for testing and maintain records as needed.
• Perform evaluation of immunocytochemistry (ICC) biomarkers for proof of concept, feasibility, verification, and validation studies.
• Provide suggestions to improve work processes and root-cause analysis for reagent or instrument-related issues.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Biological Sciences or related field.
• Graduation from a CAAHEP-accredited cytotechnology training program.
• 7 years of experience in cytology, including cytology techniques and methods.
• Experience in a laboratory setting.
• Gynecological experience preferred.
