Job Summary

Bryan Health is seeking a highly skilled Cytotechnologist to join our team. As a Cytotechnologist, you will play a critical role in evaluating and examining gynecologic and non-gynecologic cytology specimens to ensure specimen adequacy and identify precancerous, malignant, infectious, and other pathologic conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and examine cytology specimens from various anatomic sites to ensure specimen adequacy and identify potential pathologic conditions.
  • Apply established cytomorphologic criteria for gynecologic and non-gynecologic specimens.
  • Ensure specimens are correctly collected and processed in compliance with state and federal regulatory agencies.
  • Accurately record and document all slides examined, including interpretation of each case reviewed.
  • Perform and evaluate quality control procedures, implementing corrective action when necessary.
  • Work productively and efficiently during scheduled work hours, adhering to established workload limits.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science Degree from an American Medical Association/National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Science (AMA/NACLS) accredited school of cytolotechnology.
  • Certification in good standing with the American Society of Clinical Pathologists or eligible (CT, ASCP).
  • Previous cytology experience preferred.
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to distinguish and discriminate between colors, with medium work exertion requiring occasional lifting of 20-50 pounds and frequent lifting of 10-25 pounds.
