Job Title: Registered Nurse

Wexford Health Sources, Inc. is a leading provider of correctional healthcare services. We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at the Western Illinois Correctional Center.

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The successful candidate will also provide leadership to nursing staff, direct patient teaching activities, and maintain standards of professional nursing.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess patients' physical, psychological, and psychosocial dimensions and develop individualized care plans.
  • Provide leadership to nursing staff, including RNs, LPNs, MAs, CNAs, and other nursing paraprofessionals.
  • Review and monitor patients receiving medications, maintain charts and records, and make referrals to healthcare providers as needed.
  • Implement professional nursing services in a thorough and competent manner, adhering to standards, rules, protocols, policies, and procedures.
  • Make timely referrals to healthcare providers based on diagnostic tests, labs, and nursing diagnoses.
Requirements:
  • Current, valid IL State Registered Nursing License.
  • Current CPR Certification from the American Red Cross, American Heart Association, or American Safety and Health Institute.
  • Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Minimum one (1) year of clinical experience; correctional nursing experience a plus.
Benefits:
  • Competitive salary of $45.00 per hour.
  • Shift differentials available from $3/hr - $4/hr (not available for day shift).
