This position requires a blend of strategic procurement and meticulous planning to maintain optimal inventory levels and ensure smooth supply chain processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Forecasting and Planning:

  • Facilitate monthly forecasting sessions with sales, product development, and production teams to assess inputs and adjust forecasts accordingly.
  • Employ advanced forecasting methodologies to accurately predict future inventory requirements.
  • Develop purchasing strategies aligned with inventory metrics, market dynamics, demand variations, and supplier production schedules.

Procurement and Inventory Management:

  • Formulate and implement purchasing strategies that align with organizational goals.
  • Manage the processing of purchase orders, direct shipments, and blanket orders to fulfill sales demands while monitoring in-stock rates of critical items.
  • Continuously assess demand and supply timelines, adjusting procurement schedules to enhance customer service and meet inventory targets.
  • Optimize sales and inventory turnover by managing supply and inventory effectively and devising suitable inventory strategies.

Supply Chain Collaboration:

  • Engage with vendors and suppliers, participating in quarterly reviews to foster strong partnerships and address quality, lead time, and delivery challenges.
  • Collaborate with the supply chain team, brokers, and third-party logistics providers to oversee and track shipments.
  • Assist in resolving invoice discrepancies and receiving transaction issues.
  • Manage relationships with distribution centers, leading discussions to tackle quality, capacity, and logistical challenges.

Corporate Responsibilities:

  • Guide the purchasing team in identifying and executing process enhancements. Maintain documentation and standard operating procedures for demand planning.
  • Ensure proficiency with ERP systems and industry best practices.
  • Complete special projects as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. APICS CPIM certification is preferred.
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in forecasting, planning, and purchasing, ideally with finished goods.
  • Experience with international supply chains is highly advantageous.
  • Understanding of factors influencing SKU volume sales across high-traffic eCommerce platforms.
  • Strong background in eCommerce supply chain and S&OP is a significant plus.
  • Analytical skills and business acumen: ability to leverage data-driven insights for decision-making and risk assessment.
  • Familiarity with NetSuite and NSPB or other forecasting tools is beneficial.
  • Capability to present data effectively and influence discussions with executives and cross-functional teams.
  • Self-motivated with strong follow-through abilities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
Physical Requirements:

This role may require occasional standing, walking, sitting, and the use of hands for various tasks. The employee may need to lift and/or move items weighing up to 40 pounds. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

The employee will work in an office and warehouse setting, with exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels typically found in such environments.
