Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Transportation Operations Manager to join our team at Salvation Army Tucson. Key Responsibilities
  • Direct and supervise a team of drivers and material handlers to ensure smooth transportation operations.
  • Dispatch trucks daily to ensure on-time delivery of goods and maintain neat and orderly donation sites.
  • Ensure compliance with Transportation Security Administration (TSA) standards and regulations.
  • Supervise donation operations, including donation attendant training, donation bin placement, and donor relations.
  • Review and approve direct report timecards to ensure compliance with wage and hour requirements.
  • Ensure safety measures are established and maintained in accordance with Salvation Army policies and government regulations.
  • Participate in driving company culture change efforts and change management processes.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in transportation or logistics.
  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Working knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2 years of experience working with DOT regulations.
  • 2 years of supervisory experience.
  • 2 years of computer experience/Microsoft Office Suite.
